AI Automation Engineer

Mumbai (Goregaon) On-site Full-time 2–3 years

Comet Lab deploys AI in our own work, and we build that same capability for founders. As our AI Automation Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of process design and applied AI — auditing how work actually gets done, then rebuilding it with the best available tools. You will have direct access to leadership, real ownership, and the satisfaction of watching your automations run in production.

What you'll do

Audit business processes across departments (Sales, Delivery, HR, Finance, Marketing) to identify inefficiencies
Design and deploy end-to-end automated workflows using AI-powered tools
Integrate AI assistants into team operations for content generation, data analysis, and research
Set up workflow automation platforms connecting enterprise tools and communication systems
Use agentic coding tools to build custom scripts and lightweight applications
Research and evaluate new AI tools, maintaining an internal knowledge base

What we're looking for

2–3 years of relevant experience (exceptional freshers considered)
Hands-on experience with 3–4 tools from the AI or automation landscape
Prompt engineering expertise for production-grade LLM outputs
Knowledge of at least one workflow automation platform (n8n, Make, or Zapier)
Basic Python and/or JavaScript programming ability
Systems thinking — you can map a process end-to-end before you automate it

Nice to have

Familiarity with API integration and webhooks
Self-directed learner who keeps up with a fast-moving field
